A biblioteca escolar é um importante espaço de acesso aos livros para crianças e adolescentes, mas você sabia que mais de 55% das escolas brasileiras não têm bibliotecas ou as mantém fechadas?
O Ventos do Saber surgiu para mudar essa realidade, trazendo novos ares para bibliotecas de escolas públicas de ensino infantil e fundamental, buscando incentivar e melhorar a leitura dos alunos, aproximando livros, crianças e adolescentes.
O projeto tem duas fases. Primeiro, é dado aquele tapa no visual das bibliotecas, dando mais cor, alegria e conforto com novos móveis, computadores, TV, livros, brinquedos e jogos educativos. Depois disso, são realizadas atividades educativo-culturais: contação de histórias, oficinas literárias e aulas de violão. Diversão e conhecimento são garantidos.
Os nossos objetivos são:
- Democratizar o acesso ao livro e à leitura;
- Formar bons leitores;
- Melhorar a proficiência em leitura;
- Fortalecer as habilidades de escrita e de argumentação.
Em 2019, quatro escolas de Caucaia, município da Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza, foram contempladas, sendo elas:
- Escola AbáTapeba
- Escola Alice Moreira de Oliveira
- Escola Luiz Rocha Mota
- Escola Saul Gomes de Matos
As bibliotecas dessas escolas tiveram suas portas abertas à comunidade e agora são um espaço de convivência e fonte de sabedoria.
Dessa forma, o Ventos do Saber vai escrever novas páginas da história dessas escolas, trazendo novas possibilidades de conhecimento, transformação social e desenvolvimento local das comunidades contempladas pelo projeto por meio da leitura.
